A School Built Around the Student

Inkwell Hollow Tutors began in 2016 with one piano, two guitars and a belief: anyone can learn music when the teaching fits the person. Today our Austin studios welcome more than 120 students every month.

Our story

From a Single Room to a House Full of Music

Founder and pianist Maya Lindqvist started giving Saturday lessons in a rented rehearsal room. Word spread, the room filled, and the school grew — one student, one recital, one encore at a time.

Every tutor plays live regularly — on stage, in studios and with local ensembles.

Rooms made for sound

How we teach

Small Groups, Personal Goals, Real Stages

Every student starts with a free assessment: we listen to how you play, talk about the music you love, and sketch a path with clear milestones. Then the work begins — technique, theory and songs you actually want to play.

Twice a season you take the recital stage, because music learned in private should be shared in public. Parents, friends and fellow students cheer you on.
